RHINE MOUTH RESONANT KIT is a spatial installation from second-hand drums, cymbals and hardware with sediment and water from the Rhine delta as resonant medium. Copper and metallic surfaces reference conductivity, extraction, reflection. The kit is displayed as a sculptural instrument, accumulating meaning without being played. Imposed components become condition, a procedural score testing what may sound, what is sealed, extracted, transformed, what returns as silt. The Western drum kit is an inherited grammar, someone decided, and it spread. Drumming is timestamping. Purely sculptural or activated by the artist. No amplification required.

RHINE MOUTH RESONANT KIT is a new work and will debut at the programme TENDER TERRITORIES, where twenty-five international art positions will reflect on the experiences gained during the explorations along the border and around the Rhine accomodated by transnational network BORDERLAND RESIDENCIES.
